National Treasurer: Cyrille Boulay
Cyrille Boulay has been an expert member of Fnepsa and CEDEA since 2006, a member of the board of directors since 2019 and deputy secretary since 2021. He works mainly for auction houses in France, Russia and Monaco.
He specialises in Russian silverware from the 18th to the early 20th century, particularly the great silversmiths of the Russian Imperial Court, such as Gratcheff, Khlebnikoff, Ovtchinikoff, Savikoff and Britzin. However, it is for the most famous of them all, Carl Fabergé, that his knowledge is most widely recognised. This man's creative magic, his inventive genius, and the technical variety and aesthetics of his style make him the undisputed master of Russian jewellery.
Passionate about the history of the great European and foreign dynasties, Cyrille Boulay is also the author of several reference works on this subject.
He was also the first to organise specialised sales: ‘Historical Memorabilia - Royal Families - Nobility - Heraldry’ on behalf of famous Parisian and foreign auction houses, where objects and documents from the Bourbons, Orléans, Romanovs and Napoleons rub shoulders. In doing so, he has showcased precious and moving souvenirs belonging to members of royal families and their monarchs. From Queen Marie-Antoinette's shoes to the waistcoat worn by the Dauphin and Napoleon's death mask.
